Artini 2009
Invitation, rack card, print and web advertising, signage

client: The 1869 Society of the Corcoran Gallery of Art
2009

One promotion. Three components: A competition of twelve mixologists and their respective bars to create the best drink based on one of twelve works of art by Corcoran students; a celebration with four price points featuring all of the drinks and an award for the best drink; a raffle with more prizes and sponsors than I cared to count. The event was spearheaded by the Corcoran's 1869 Society, who also deserved to be credited, and was sponsored by eight companies, each of whom had a logo.

All of these elements needed to be unified by one clean, clear, and cohesive design that could be applied to a self-mailing invitation, brochure, ad campaign, and event signage. Within budget. By using a trifold and bold headings for the invitation and brochure I was able to divide the promotion into digestible pieces, and the stripe motif allowed the beautiful and varied student work to be highlighted without becoming a confusing collage. The white background helped the work pop and ensured that the design would translate well even in newsprint.

The event was a success! Everyone looked fabulous, had plenty of fun and drinks, and yet no one got lost- the signs did their job.
